I am aware that the Arsenal women must compete for a position in the UEFA Women’s Champions League over the next weeks; I hope they will succeed.

The WSL campaign then begins on October 1 when Arsenal host Liverpool at the Emirates.

In a highly anticipated WSL campaign where the Gooners will be hoping their women’s side end the league title drought, Arsenal need a bright start to the season and a win against Liverpool is vital to that. Let’s not forget that league winners Chelsea faced Liverpool in the first game of the 2022-23 season and lost 2-1, albeit away at Anfield. Arsenal Women vs Liverpool will be played at the Emirates Stadium. 35,000 tickets already sold!

With quality new signings in defender Amanda Ilestedt, winger Cloe Lacasse, forward Alessia Russo and defender Laia Codina (as well as other players likely to be signed before the September 14 deadline) and players slowly returning from injury, Arsenal Women have a stronger squad .

Regardless, Eidevall has to field his strongest lineup ever, which makes me wonder: What’s the best lineup Eidevall can make in this game?

If I were Arsenal manager, I’d start Sabrina D’Angelo in goal (that is, if Mary Earps doesn’t come from Man United), Steph Catley at left-back, Laia Codina at left-centre-back, Amanda Ilestedt at right-back. center back, right back Noelle Maritz, midfield Lia Walti and Kim Little, attacking midfielder Frida Maanum; Caitlin Food’s left scissor; Beth Mead as right fat; and Alessia Russo as a striker.

I know you may have a problem with my predicted Arsenal Women line-up; well, correct me with your settings in the comments section below. Let’s talk as we prepare to see our new and existing Gunners on the field!
