Leon Osman, a former player for Everton, has stated that he thinks Liverpool’s acquisition of Alexis MacAllister for a “incredible deal” was the summer’s top signing.
The Reds were compelled to sign several players during the summer transfer window. They probably would have done so anyhow because the pitch last year was a little stale in some spots, which contributed to the team’s subpar fifth-place result.
But the fact that so many players left Anfield suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s hand was forced.
This is especially true in midfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita are all leaving when their contracts are completed this summer.
Following them by starting midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson means signing is a must, as they have taken their appearances from midfield to five.
Klopp started by signing Mac Allister, a Brighton player the whole of the Premier League seems to be chasing.
Liverpool followed that up with trap Dominik Szoboszlai, before signing Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch at the end of the transfer window. The two attacking players have started regularly at this stage of the season, while Endo has started once and came on from the bench twice, and Gravenberch has yet to start because his game is too close to Last game of the Red Devils.
Osman thinks Mac Allister will sign in the summer
Mac Allister is the recipient of praise, especially from former Everton player Osman. The Toffees legend believes this transfer is the signing of the summer.
“Actually I’m casting Alexis Mac Allister,” he told Premier League Productions.
“I think £35-40 million for a guy who has won the World Cup, I think he is on the rise, his form is improving. We’re talking about Tonali for £50m, I just think for that price it’s a great deal.” Liverpool did it.
Tonali at Newcastle is another big deal, and the former AC Milan star has joined the Warblers with experience in the Champions League, where his side reached the semi-finals last season.
Experience in Europe’s top league was probably the key factor in Newcastle’s decision to sign him.
But Liverpool have a player who played a key role in winning the World Cup, who has also performed very well in the Premier League over the past two seasons.
In the middle of the park, he’s already forged a strong alliance with another newcomer, Szoboszlai.
In the Reds’ most recent encounter, a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, the latter scored his first goal for the team.
Liverpool is hoping that Mac Allister’s first goal for the team will come soon. Even if it is, he is doing well in the middle, and the Reds have won three of their last four games, so it appears the newcomers are adjusting well.
