Quickly becoming a fan favorite and wowing Coach Kevin O’Connell, Dobbs apparently undid all of his good work in one bad game on Tuesday. The veteran quarterback threw four interceptions during a 12-10 home defeat to the Chicago Bears that was one of the worst NFL games of the season.
After Dobbs became the talk of the NFL by leading Minnesota to thrilling victories in the wake of Kirk Cousins’ absence, the Vikings’ offense only totaled 242 yards on a night when the Bears won without scoring a touchdown “Turnovers really control the game, so it starts with me and taking care of the football with my decision-making, ” Dobbs said.
“No matter what happens on the other end, it’s giving the receiver a good ball and getting the ball where it needs to go based on the coverage. I acknowledge it. I’m frustrated with myself.” Minnesota has other options at QB, including rookie Jaren Hall and veteran Nick Mullens. Kevin O’Connell was asked if he would consider making a QB change after the team’s bye week:“We’ll take a look at everything.”

They had won two of their last three games, feeling that Josh Dobbs would continue to lead them on a successful path. However, this game didn’t exactly turn out how the Vikings, or their fans, thought it would.
