West Ham are close to making three excellent signings as a new team targets a fourth according to new reports overnight.

Hammers technical director Tim Steidten and new head coach Julen Lopetegui have given West Ham’s first transfer update this week.

Both men were asked about West Ham’s plans for a major overhaul this summer.

Lopetegui has confirmed the Hammers’ ambitious intentions and promoted the new arrivals.

The Spaniard said he wanted to “make some noise”.

Steidten went further, promising a big summer and affirming that West Ham has enough financial resources to spend.

As things stand, Lopetegui only has 19 senior players in his squad.

This means six more signings are needed to ensure Lopetegui has a full squad of 25 players.

But with Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings and perhaps two or three others up for sale, the Hammers could be looking to bring in more.

Lopetegui made it clear in his press conference that he wants the players to be signed as soon as possible.

Now it looks like progress has been made on the club’s next goals.

And reports elsewhere reveal that the initial offer was also rejected for a fourth target.

KUMB claim West Ham are close to signing Wolves captain Max Kilman and Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

West Ham have been negotiating with Wolves for almost three weeks.

Hammers News has exclusively revealed that majority owner David Sullivan is ready to push the boat out to sign Kilman and reunite him with Lopetegui to please his new head coach.

We also report that West Ham are hoping a different offer structure in a third bid for Kilman will be accepted by Wolves.

According to KUMB, this decision is about to be accepted.

Walker-Peters, the best full-back in the Championship last season, can play at both left-back and right-back.

Importantly, the duo also helped West Ham tick the status box.

Interestingly, the report also states that West Ham’s approach to Argentine youngster Matias Soule has been given the green light by Juventus.

“Initial discussions are said to have taken place with a view to a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old Argentine winger, who is worth around €40 million and was on loan at Frosinone last season,” reports Fox said.

West Ham also made an offer worth £30m for a fourth contract.
