Fabrizio Roman, a transfer analyst, has stated why he believes Mohamed Salah will be traded by Liverpool during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Before the English transfer market closed last Friday, Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League made a £150 million approach for Salah, which was promptly rejected by Liverpool.

A £200 million proposal is reportedly being readied for the attacker before this week’s transfer deadline in Saudi Arabia, which ends on Thursday.

Salah was never going to be allowed to leave Liverpool right before the transfer window closed, but Al-Ittihad’s interest does not seem to be waning, and it appears only a matter of time before the elite forward registers with the Middle Eastern team.

Romano considers it “completely crazy” that Liverpool would have accepted Al-Ittihad’s bid of £150 million for Salah.

According to Romano on the DeBrief episode of Caught Offside, Liverpool are “very, very relaxed about that situation.”

Nunez is back for Liverpool as helpless Aston Villa treats Alexander-Arnold like Yaya Toure at his best.

“Saudi Arabia will probably return because this is nothing unusual for them. Returning to the subject of approaching Liverpool and the player’s camp, I believe it won’t be anything advanced or solid because Liverpool has, in all honesty, always been transparent.

Liverpool always issued the same message whenever there were whispers about a player: The guy is untouchable. Mo Salah is not progressing.

“I believe that Liverpool would be stupid to sell Salah right now. Losing a player like Mo Salah would be a shock for the team as they are now putting the correct strategies on the pitch with the new players and their new midfield that they developed in the summer. For the time being, Liverpool is announcing that they have no intention of letting Mo Salah go.

Later, Romano made a prediction on when he believes Salah will quit Liverpool. “My expectation is likely for Saudi sides to return in 2024,” he continued.

“At that point, I believe it will be extremely risky because they might return and have more time to persuade the club and there is still time for Liverpool to find a replacement for Mo Salah.

Finding a player of Mo Salah’s calibre was virtually impossible in the final days of the transfer window, so I believe that it is now extremely unlikely, if not impossible. However, in 2024, it is something to watch out for because Saudi Arabia is very interested in the possibility of bringing Mo Salah there.
