The Arizona Cardinals fall to 1-1 in the Kyler Murray era of 2023, as the team couldn’t quite pull off another comeback in a 21-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 11. In his first road game of the year following return from an ACL tear, Murray started the game off by hot by connecting with Rondale Moore for a touchdown on the opening drive.  On the following nine drives the rest of the way, Arizona mustered just ten points (six of which came from Murray on the ground) as the Cardinals couldn’t quite get push the ball in the end zone despite going past the HOU 45 on all three fourth-quarter drives.

Murray certainly had a handful of passes he’d like to have back, as a handful of attempts fell way short (notably to Marquise Brown) while others were poorly placed (an open Trey McBride on fourth down in the fourth). He finished going 20/30 for 214 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  After the game, he met with reporters and took ownership for the loss after the Cardinals defense created three turnovers on the day.  “I feel like offensively, myself, I feel like we had enough chances to win the game. I let the team down, that’s how I feel,” said Murray. “Wasn’t enough good. Yeah, we made some plays, but like I said – I just felt like the defense, they did what they needed to do and we didn’t hold up our end of the bargain on our side so that was frustrating. I felt like we had too many opportunities not to win that game.”

Lotu will miss at least four games with the injury .Even though he could potentially return for Arizona’s final two games, it is likely that the Cardinals will shut him down for the season. Arizona is the worst team in the NFC West and the 15th team in the NFC with a record
