The Arkansas Razorbacks have been a bit of a rollercoaster through the first nine games of the season, but the Hogs seem to have found somewhat of a groove offensively. After back-to-back strong offensive performances, head coach Eric Musselman would like to see some of these trends continue for his team in the scoring and distribution department.

The Razorbacks went four games (three losses) without reaching double-digit assists before breaking out with 17 in a big win over Duke last week. Arkansas followed that up with a season-high 21 assists while shooting 61% from the floor en route to scoring 97 points as a team in a win over Furman.

Musselman has always been a big believer in the offensive upside for his current team, and he went out of his way to address ball movement with the group following a rough trip at the Battle 4 Atlantis.

“We did a better job sharing the ball,” Musselman said. “Well, I think you have to talk about it. I think you have to point it out through video. I’ve talked about the video, you know, even that I had sent out to the guys. We’ve got to continue to share the ball. The ball’s got to have eyes. We’ve got to understand we have multiple weapons offensively, and to not do it alone.

“(Layden) Blocker helps us with that, and Devo (Davis) helps us with that. Those two guys in particular help the ball move, and I think KB is understanding that he’s drawing extra defenders and when you draw an extra defender, you do your job and you’ve got to move it. I think all those things become factors.”
