Xisco Munoz is still searching for his maiden Championship win after taking the reins at Hillsborough with just one point garnered from five matches so far

Following a two-week break for foreign travel, Sheffield Wednesday will resume play this weekend. Prior to the break, the Owls earned their first point of the year at Leeds United with a significantly improved performance.

After four losses in a row, Xisco Munoz’s team eventually won after a scoreless draw at Elland Road. They will encounter a familiar side this weekend. Last season, Ipswich Town narrowly edged out the Owls for the second automatic promotion slot. Wednesday, of course, joined them later with a historic Wembley promotion.

They reunite for the first time this weekend and here is all you need to know ahead of the game.

When and where is the game?

The match takes place at Hillsborough – Wednesday’s first home game in the league for four weeks – on Saturday at 3pm.

How can I follow it?

The match is not being aired live on iFollow or Sky Sports in accordance with broadcasting regulations. However, you can access Yorkshire Live’s matchday blog from S6. At 11 p.m., ITV4 will air the highlights of the game.

Early team news

Only midfielder Momo Diaby’s injury poses a serious threat to the Owls. After a protracted absence, Mallik Wilks just made his playing comeback for the under-21s. As of right now, Marvin Johnson is still on the outside looking in after failing to make the cut for the Owls’ squad list that was submitted to the EFL. At his pre-Ipswich press conference on Thursday, manager Xisco Munoz will deliver a complete injury report.

Betting odds

Ipswich are overwhelming favourites for the win, priced up at 19/20 with Skybet . Wednesday are far out at 11/4 to seal their maiden league win. The draw is chalked up at 13/5.
