Kasey McAteer went down with a hamstring injury during Leicester City’s Championship win over Blackburn

Leicester City are expecting Kasey McAteer to be out for a month after he suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Blackburn.

Less than 20 minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute, City’s top scorer dramatically pulled up as he attempted to sprint into the box. He limped off, and could be out until after the November international break.

“Unfortunately with a muscle problem like this, it will always be four, five, six weeks,” Maresca said of McAteer. “He played two days ago and not only because he worked hard, but also mentally for a guy who was last year in League Two and played at Anfield, it’s not easy.”
