Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a number of signings from Celtic since arriving at Tottenham.

Indeed, a number of Celtic’s star players have been linked with a move to north London and a reunion with their former gaffer, but, as of yet, nothing has come to fruition on that front.

However, with January just around the corner, Spurs are, once again, scouring the market for new additions, and, as you can imagine, there are a few Celtic players on their radars.

Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has named both Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi as Spurs targets once again, but, interestingly, he’s also named Daizen Maeda as another player Spurs are keen to bring in this winter.

Tottenham like Maeda

Bailey shared what he knows about Tottenham’s transfer plans.

“Jota is an interesting one. Keep an eye on him, they do like Hatate, Furuhashi and Maeda from Celtic as well, but Jota, it may be easier to go and get him from Saudi than going raiding up north in Scotland. Getting some of these players from Celtic would be cheaper than some of these European players, so I wouldn’t rule him out going to Celtic,” Bailey said.

As many Celtic fans know, Maeda suits Ange Postecoglou’s style to a tee, and if he were to come to the Premier League, there aren’t any better landing spots for the striker than Spurs at this moment in time.

This is certainly a situation worth watching as we head into the January window.
