Deanne Rose became the latest face to walk through the door at Belvoir Drive and the forward is hoping to grow his game at the LCFC Women.In a summer of changes that saw seven players join the ranks of Willie Kirk, Rose signed this week, leaving Reading permanently.

Committing the next two years of her career to a club that she believes will provide the perfect environment and opportunity for her to develop as an individual has generated a lot of excitement in the striker. , as she explained in her first interview as a Leicester player.

Rose said: “I’m excited to get started. “The facilities are amazing; they have everything we need here – they are first class. The manager has shown his enthusiasm for the upcoming season and for the team, so I know this is a good place to come.

“For me, this league is the best in the world and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to play again in the Barclays Women’s Super League. For me, the Club’s ambitions match mine, it’s a historic club and it’s clearly growing and I want to be part of it.

With a young team brings joy and new energy. At this stage of my career, it’s perfect to work where they laid the foundation and for me, it’s the best place for my development.

As a Canadian international lucky enough to represent her country at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Rose brings a wealth of skill, pace and pedigree to the East Midlands. Despite not making it past the group stage, the former Royals player wanted to share her thoughts on a hard-working tournament for women’s football and highlight her qualities as a player.

The 24-year-old continued: “It was a great experience to be at the World Cup. “The fans were amazing and Australia did a great job hosting – the atmosphere was really great.

It’s always difficult to concentrate at the World Cup with the media and the hype surrounding it, but our team has found a good balance and it’s a great opportunity to be there.

“I haven’t had the chance to visit Leicester too much so everything has had to stop but I’m happy to come here and get acquainted with the culture but the most important thing for me is to play football and enjoy life to help support the team. “As a striker, my goal is just to score as many points as possible, as well as help others, be direct and dangerous in matches.

“I would describe myself as energetic. I love bringing that energy to the team. I feel like I have explosive speed and hopefully that can help the team give us a chance to have a good season.
