Leeds United attacker Mateo Joseph is now ready to feature for 90 minutes after spending months on the sidelines, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 19-year-old had a Grade 2 ankle inversion which is what kept him out of action.

Daniel Farke revealed that he’s spent time in crutches and he was put in a protective boot to help with his recovery.

Joseph sustained a grade 2 inversion sprain injury, according to Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist who spoke exclusively to MOT Leeds News.

“His time spent using crutches depended on how well he was recovering from PT, and he was probably put into a CAM boot before being gradually transitioned back into shoes.

“Training will have been a gradual increase in intensity and with ankle injuries, the key is often tolerating side-to-side movements effectively.

“He now seems ready to play for the Whites post the international break.”

Joseph has not played a single minute for Leeds this season but returned to the bench for the 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

He was not loaned out by the Whites this summer so there is a chance that he will feature for the first team in the coming weeks.

It remains to be seen what Farke views as his ideal position and with the Whites out of the Carabao Cup, he can’t even give him the odd start in the cup games.
