Ramon Planes, the sporting director of Real Betis, claimed that Marc Roca called him every day this summer to arrange a transfer from Leeds United.

The 26-year-old ultimately transferred to the La Liga team on loan as a result of a clause in his contract that could be activated following relegation.

Roca struggled to establish himself with the first team after only moving to Elland Road last summer.

He called every day out of desperation. According to Planes, who was quoted by Marca on Betis TV, “He departed because a favourable contract situation arose. He told us that because he wanted to go back. He should calm down; we’ll get it done, I informed him.

Marc is a young man who will contribute much. He admitted right away that he knew Manuel when the possibilities with him was seen and that the season is lengthy. He’ll provide us a lot of things.

Since the beginning of his tenure, Daniel Farke has made it clear that he does not want anyone at Leeds who does not want to stay.

Relegation made the choice for Roca, if he was making daily calls, and he was relieved to leave Elland Road.

Since joining the Whites last summer, the Spaniard hasn’t exactly been a standout performer.

He frequently had trouble keeping up with the English game’s tempo, and Leeds might be better off without him.

They brought in three players who had always desired to join the team: Ethan Ampadu, Glen Kamara, and Ilia Gruev for the midfield.

Farke is looking for players of this calibre, so maybe his selection was wise.

In more Leeds United news, the Whites sent out numerous requests to recruit a multi-million dollar foreign winger before the deadline.
