Tottenham:
Levy agrees to sell ‘handsome’ Spurs player

The Lilywhites chairman has reached an agreement.
According to a report this week, Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy has personally agreed to sell a “handsome” Spurs player.
What is Spurs’ latest transfer news?
Spurs and new manager Ange Postecoglou love life on the pitch; remain unbeaten in their first six Premier League matches in one of the club’s best starts to the season. The Lilywhites recorded wins over Bournemouth, Man United, Burnley and Sheffield United – and overpowered rivals Arsenal with a 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Sunday.

Postecoglou’s attacking and watchable football has energized a section of Spurs fans while also making a strong impression on the crowd. This was backed up by the club’s astute summer transfer activity, which completed deals for seven major signings in goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, young centre-back Ashley Phillips, defender Micky van de Ven, midfielder James Maddison, winger Manor Solomon, striker Alejo Veliz and striker. Brennan Johnson.

Levy and new director of football Scott Munn now face the task of continuing to build on the Postecoglou project, while supporting their high-profile new boss strongly and deeply. Maddison’s injury worries this week perhaps highlight the need for additional reinforcements, and reports suggest Tottenham are already targeting the January transfer window.

The likes of Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly and Juventus star Gleison Bremer have been linked over the past month, while other departures are also said to be being considered in a bid to put Postecoglou out of trouble.

Who could leave Spurs?
Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg were the subject of allegations of a possible January exit, while versatile winger Ivan Perisic is another who could now leave.

The Croatian legend is currently sidelined with a complicated ACL injury and could return around March/April if everything goes to plan. However, his prolonged absence has not discouraged Hadjuk Split as a very interesting departure rumor has been emerging in recent days.

Indeed, according to Sportske, Levy personally reached an agreement with Hadjuk president Lukša Jakobušić for Perisic’s free transfer to the Croatian side in January. Despite Perisic’s current fitness issues, Hadjuk still plans to continue with the deal, which appears to have been signed apart from the actual contracts.

The report adds that Hadjuk’s supporters have wanted to sign Perisic for years, a dream that could now come true. The international was deployed at left-back by former Spurs boss Antonio Conte last season, where he racked up more assists than any of his team-mates in the league.

Journalist John Hayes called him a “game changer” after his brilliant early-season performance against Wolves last season, while fellow journalist Josh Bunting called Perisic a “good” player.
He’s a great football player,” Bunting said. “He’s really smart and precise in everything he does. He has overcome everything he has faced.”
Conte spoke after Perisic’s arrival and was full of praise for the 34-year-old player:
“Signing a player like Ivan Perisic is very important,” Conte said last summer. “We are talking about a really important player and a top player. Sometimes it is good to bring into your team a player who is a little older but at the same time a good player whose experience can improve a younger player in your team.
