ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions got a peek at their full offensive might in Los Angeles, as their offensive line and backfield both finally returned to full strength.

A week later, they’re short-handed again.

Left guard Jonah Jackson has been officially ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, along with defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs (illness). Jackson has been battling a wrist injury that he sustained in last week’s game against the Chargers, which was his first game back from an ankle injury that knocked him out for three games.

All told, Jackson is missing his fourth game in five weeks, a tough blow for an offensive line that is definitely at its best when he’s on the field. Kayode Awosika, Dan Skipper and rookie Colby Sordal are the top replacements.

Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (hand) is questionable, while receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (ribs) is full go. The former Michigan wideout was acquired in a trade with the Browns before the deadline last month, and is now expected to make his Lions debut against Chicago.
