The Los Angeles Lakers officially announced JJ Redick as their head coach on Monday, and now shift their focus to the NBA draft and free agency. This transaction period is crucial for the Lakers, and they can devote their full attention to it with their head coaching search complete.

A recent report from Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports revealed the Lakers have a level of trade interest in Portland Trail Blazers star Jerami Grant.

Reportedly willing to part with their first-round pick in this year’s draft, the Lakers could be in play for star such as Grant. While his five-year, $160 million contract through 2028 is not easy to deal for, Grant averaged 21.0 PPG last season which would make him a high-level third option next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
