LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police said an arrest was made Tuesday afternoon after a homicide happened earlier that morning.

An arrest citation states James Oscar Reece, 21, of Louisville, was charged with two counts of fleeing and evading police after he was driving the vehicle used during the homicide.

Detectives reportedly tried to stop his vehicle near Taylor Boulevard and Huntoon Avenue. Police said the SWAT Team then used a grappler, but it failed and the vehicle broke free. The vehicle eventually stopped on Kahlert Avenue and police said Reece tried to run away before eventually being taken into custody before 3 p.m. Reece was booked at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections (LMDC).
