Maple Leafs, Bruins won’t tip full lineup hand before Game 1

 

Like a Cape Cod fog bank, the Boston Bruins and Maple Leafs are shrouding their Game 1 lineups in mystery.

In the one and only pre-series practice for both teams at Boston’s secondary rink on Friday, both coaches took turns being tight-lipped, Jim Montgomery about his starting goaltender, Sheldon Keefe on the status of up to three injured forwards.

William Nylander, Bobby McMann and Calle Jarnkrok are “possibilities” for Game 1 on Saturday at TD Garden was all Keefe would offer.

“Welcome to the playoffs,” Toronto winger Max Domi told reporters in Boston when informed Montgomery was keeping his crease plans close to the vest.
