It’s been a difficult season for the Michigan Wolverines as they’ve dealt with multiple suspensions to head coach Jim Harbaugh and the NCAA’s investigation into the tea’s alleged illegal sign-stealing scheme. But despite all of that, Michigan is playing for a Big Ten title on Saturday – and head coach Jim Harbaugh is pleased about it.

During a press conference this week, Jim Harbaugh opened up about what it would mean for this team to win a Big Ten title after everything that has happened this season.

“It would mean a great deal,” Harbaugh said according to On3. “As I said, this team. It’s a true team. Selfless, they play for each other. If you wondered what’s in another man’s heart on this team, it’s about each other. So many things. I mean, 12-0, back-to-back seasons. We’d like to make that 13-0. 12-0, it’s the first time in Michigan history, 12-0, back-to-back, first time ever. So many things about this team, and they all talk about it, there’s more to do.

“I know our focus will be on going out and giving it our very best, and taking a shot at that third championship.”

Michigan is a decisive favorite to win the Big Ten championship game over Iowa, which would put them into the College Football Playoff for the third consecutive time.
