Multiple outlets started showing what their All-America team looked like after the 2023 college football season. CBS Sports, USA TODAY, and Sports Illustrated all released one and multiple Michigan football players made the list in all of them. The Athletic revealed what their All-America team looked like and two Wolverines made it. The Athletic announced both Zak Zinter and Will Johnson made the All-American team.

Zinter has been a first-team All-American on all four outlets so far. His play on the field definitely did not go unnoticed and he helped lead the Michigan offensive line to another potential Joe Moore Award winner. Zinter chose to come back to Michigan for his senior year, and while he unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury against Ohio State, Zinter should make one heck of an NFL guard at the next level. Johnson is a second-team All-American according to The Athletic. The sophomore cornerback has been a standout during his time in Ann Arbor and most draft analysts believe he would be a first-round pick this year if he were eligible to enter the NFL draft. But luckily for Michigan, the Wolverines will get Johnson back for at least one more season in 2024.

Jim Harbaugh is reportedly working on a five-year, $55 million contract extension with the University of Michigan. However, according to a report, if Harbaugh wants to close the deal, he must pledge that he will not pursue an NFL coaching job during his next contract cycle. According to multiple media reports, negotiations between Harbaugh and the university have begun, but no deal is imminent as there are still details to work out.
