News about the Milwaukee Bucks: One team that might become a buyer before the February trade deadline is the New York Knicks. Although they currently hold a 16-11 record and are a really decent team, it seems like the Knicks are at least one piece away from emerging as a serious contender in the Eastern Conference.

That piece could come in the form of Toronto Raptors stud OG Anunoby.

NBA insider Michael Scotto recently revealed that the Knicks have “expressed exploratory trade interest” in Dejounte Murray, a talented player for the Atlanta Hawks. Anunoby is another player that is supposedly on their shortlist: “League sources told HoopsHype that the Knicks are still interested in trading for Raptors forward OG Anunoby. Knicks forward RJ Barrett was mentioned in those fleeting trade queries during the previous season, but nothing significant happened. That probably won’t change unless New York completely dominates Toronto by offering a first-round draft selection in exchange for compensation and perhaps another young player, according to Scotto.

Anunoby, who was also connected to the Bucks this summer, would provide the Knicks with a big improvement, particularly in the defensive department. If the Raptors decide to move their two-way wing, they will probably demand a huge sum of money in exchange

Immanuel Quickley is a guy the Knicks could offer, according to Scotto. The 24-year-old and New York were unable to come to an extension agreement this past summer, which suggests that the Knicks might think about moving last year’s Sixth Man of the Year finalist in the right trade “given the wide gap in extension talks, along with the belief Quickley would eventually like to start.”

Evan Fournier is also another player that the Knicks could include in a potential trade package for Anunoby, along with one or two future draft assets.
