There’s a problem with the jerseys MLB players are wearing this season — and it didn’t escape the notice of fans on Opening Day.

After beating the Seattle Mariners on Opening Day, you’d think the Boston Red Sox would come out looking pretty good. Instead, they’ve been roasted for their look, particularly their gear.

Fans on social media were quick to point out issues with lettering on some Red Sox jerseys, with some players’ nameplates looking oddly.

“Dear Red Sox, Please just drop names on road jerseys so we don’t have to suffer through the indignity of these awful new nike/fanatics/whatever uniforms,” one fan wrote on X (previously Twitter).

MLB jerseys have been produced by Fanatics since 2017. As a result, the company has been blasted publicly in recent months.
