Dexter Lawrence continued his dominant 2023 campaign on Monday night against the Packers. The fifth-year defensive lineman picked up a half-sack along with three tackles, while Pro Football Focus had him down for six total pressures on just 20 pass rush snaps (40 percent pass rush win rate). Lawrence’s strong performance earned him a spot on the PFF Team of the Week.

“Yeah, they’re monsters,” Saquon Barkley said about Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux after the game. “Azeez (Ojulari) got back in flow getting him a sack too. Make big plays, they’ve been making big plays all year long…” The 26-year-old is now up to 4.5 sacks on the season to go with 59 total pressures, including 13 in his last two games. During his All-Pro season in 2022, Lawrence finished with 63 total pressures in 16 games.

Lawrence’s pressures and 21.2 percent pass rush win rate both lead the team. Heading into Week 15, Lawrence is not only PFF’s highest-ranked interior defensive lineman, but he is also the highest-ranked defender overall by the analytics site. Hall of Famer Kurt Warner is widely considered the greatest undrafted free agent in NFL history and, thus, knows a thing or two about what New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito is experiencing this fall. “There are a lot of guys who get here [to the NFL] and don’t have the opportunities but they know how to play football,” Warner said about DeVito while speaking with Tom Rock of Newsday. “It’s cool when you see them get opportunities and rise up.”  Warner called the “Monday Night Football” game between the Giants and Green Bay Packers from the Westwood One Sports radio booth and watched as DeVito completed 17-of-21 passes for 158 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the come-from-behind 24-22 victory over Green Bay.
