Dan Lanning is a miracle worker, and this season the Oregon Ducks, under his direction, will play in the Big Ten. Ohio State, one of the Ducks’ new conference opponents, will not be sending the head coach any welcoming presents because, on Saturday afternoon, they snatched a 2025 recruit who was expected to pledge to the Buckeyes. Out of nowhere, Oregon decided to take him.

According to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, Five-Star Cornerback Dorian Brew has committed to Oregon and chose the Ducks over Ohio State and Texas.

Brew, a Conroe, Texas native, is a 6-foot-2, 197-pound cornerback who is ranked seventh in the 2025 class by 247sports.com.

While Oregon was on Brew’s radar, Ohio State was crystalballed to land the star corner by many experts who cover the team and recruiting. It is a bit of a surprise that Brew chose the Ducks.

This is Ohio State’s second player that Dan Lanning has pilfered this week. They signed four-star running back Jordon Davison on Friday; he was also considering the Buckeyes.
