The off-contract Tiger is a free agent this year.

Richmond youngster Bigoa Nyuon has attracted some interest from North Melbourne, who have met with the Tiger as they assess the market for talls. Clubs looking at options in this space. Nyuon doesn’t have a contract for next year as yet with the Tigers.

A little-used Richmond defender has reportedly received rival interest from a Victorian club as this year’s trade space imminently commences.

Off-contract backman Bigoa Nyuon is understood to be of interest to North Melbourne, as it prepares to lose Ben McKay to Essendon as a restricted free agent.

According to AFL Media journalist Cal Twomey on Friday morning, Kangaroos officials have met with Nyuon as they survey the tall defenders who may be available this off-season.

22-year-old, who was drafted in Round 3 of the 2019 National Draft by Richmond before being delisted and rookie-drafted again in 2021, plays as a key-position intercepting stopper.

Having been delisted once previously, Nyuon automatically qualifies for unrestricted free agency this year and could theoretically sign with the Roos without any potential Richmond resistance.

In other Tigers player movement news, ruckman Ivan Soldo appears likely to remain at Punt Road to see out his current contract next season, while Hawthorn forward Jacob Koschitzke seems likely to find his way to Tigerland this off-season.

The 2023 exchange window officially opens for business on Monday, October 9, following the free agency period’s commencement on Friday.
