The Green Bay Packers are preparing for their Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.  The Packers (3-6) are looking for as many positives to take away from this season as their playoff hopes are on serious life support.  The Chargers (4-5) still have a lot to play for as they find themselves right in the mix of things for an AFC Wild Card spot.

However, some pretty exciting news surfaced out of Green Bay on Thursday.  One legendary Packers player will return to Green Bay for good.

Former Packers tackle Bryan Bulaga, who spent 10 seasons with the team from 2010 to 2019, has decided to retire with the team. Brian Gutekunst, Packers general manager, announced the news on Thursday, Nov. 16:

Bryan Bulaga Was Instrumental To The Packers

During his rookie season, Bulaga started 12 games and earned All-Rookie honors from the Professional Football Writers of America. In addition, he started all four postseason games that season, including the Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In the Super Bowl win, Bulaga became the first rookie in NFL history to start at right tackle and was the youngest player in the game (21 years, 322 days).

Additionally, he helped the Packers win six division titles, make the playoffs eight times, and reach the NFC Championship four times. Six times, Bulaga blocked for offenses that ranked in the top 10 in points and five times, he blocked for offenses that ranked in the top 10 in yards.

After starting 11 games for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020-21, Bulaga ended his NFL career.
