It has been a mixed start to the season for the Premier League’s London clubs

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all pose early challenges for Manchester City, with all three London clubs making strong starts to their Premier League campaigns.

City top the table with 12 points from their opening four matches, with the London trio on 10 points each after three wins and a draw.

Crystal Palace and Brentford have also got off to a good start, the Bees are unbeaten so far although they have drawn 3 matches while the Eagles have 7 points with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Chelsea and Fulham each have 4 points, while the west London team has lost twice each, with one win and one draw.

The season will continue next weekend after the international break, and data analysts at Opta have forecasted each team’s most likely finishing place by simulating the campaign’s course. Here is where they advise the London clubs to position themselves.

1. 20th – Luton Town

A season to remember but one which may end in relegation.

2. 19th – Sheffield United

Fellow newly promoted side Sheffield United could have their work cut out.

3. 18th – Everton
