The whole Tottenham Hotspur squad are in great form at the moment, but Micah Richards believes Yves Bissouma is not getting the credit he deserves for his early season displays.

Since Ange Postecoglou took charge at Tottenham, the fortunes and attitudes of his team’s players have changed very rapidly.

The Lilywhites are making an unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign and now find themselves in the top four after a draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

Players like Heung-min Son, James Maddison and Destiny Udogie are shining for Spurs so far this season. With attacking football, positive results and smiles on faces, it seems like everything at Tottenham is rosy right now.

While Maddison, who recorded two assists in the north London derby, has attracted attention and praise this season, the team’s efforts have not been forgotten. Richards thinks Yves Bissouma needs more praise

During a recent discussion on The Rest is Football podcast, Micah Richards came to the defense of Yves Bissouma and claimed the midfielder was Spurs’ best player this season.

Co-host Gary Lineker said:

“I think at the start of the game he gave in a few times when Arsenal pressed too high, but after that he was everywhere.”

Richard added: “The thing with Bissouma is that because Maddison has started so well, a lot of people are forgetting what Bissouma has done this season. He has probably been their best, most consistent player this season.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Yves Bissouma has been in outstanding form so far and finally looks to be back to his best after a difficult season last year. If he continues at this rate, he will only continue to earn plaudits and could have a shout at being among the very best in the league.
