Frank McAvennie, a former striker for West Ham United, is a welcome addition to our exclusive writer lineup. He will provide his opinions on the most talked-about topics at the London Stadium every week.

Frank McAvennie thinks West Ham boss David Moyes will only make roster changes in the event of injury before the game against Everton.

The decision was made in the midst of a hectic time for the Hammers, who traveled to Greece on Thursday, October 26, to play Olympiacos.

The East London team now faces Everton in Premier League play on Sunday (October 29) after losing that group stage match 2-1.

McAvennie stated to West Ham Zone, “He’ll change it if somebody has an injury.” However, if someone is in need of a nap following a four-hour flight, they have no business playing football.

“I refuse to accept it; they are not fatigued in any manner. I’m not going to use having to play every Thursday as an excuse. You wish to travel to Europe for that reason.

Moyes’s men returned from the recent international break with a league trip to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa last Sunday (22 October), with the hosts winning 4-1.

And now Sean Dyche’s Toffees visit the London Stadium for the East London club’s third match in the space of seven days.

The busy schedule doesn’t stop there, however, with the men in claret and blue welcoming Arsenal to the London Stadium on Wednesday (1 November) for an EFL Cup Round of 16 clash.

There is further Premier League action shortly after, with the Hammers travelling to Brentford on Saturday (4 November).
