Lingard is reportedly now desired by Everton, where he would have a much higher chance of seeing regular game action, according to a report from 90 Minutes.

Wolves and Turkish clubs are rumoured to be competing with the Hammers for the 30-year-old midfielder.

This week, Besiktas, a Turkish powerhouse, was again mentioned in relation to Lingard, according to A Spor.

According to Pink Un, Norwich rejected three consecutive inquiries from Leeds for McLean as Daniel Farke tried to get back in touch with his former midfielder.

Farke acquired McLean from Aberdeen for Norwich in 2018 and was a midfield target for Leeds in the summer.

According to Sky Sports, Leeds’ final offer for McLean was in the range of £4 million before turning to alternatives in the last week of the transfer window.

Leeds prioritised midfield at the end of the previous month, and McLean was one of several players for whom they made offers.

In the end, Leeds were able to add two new players to their engine room thanks to the arrival of Ilia Gruev from Werder Bremen and Glen Kamara from Rangers.
