Jerry Jeudy, a wide receiver, appears to have garnered more media attention lately for his personal problems than his on-field performance. It’s possible that the Denver Broncos are sick of the drama.

The Alabama alum is allegedly the focus of trade negotiations between the Broncos and the team. According to Colts beat writer Destin Adams of AtoZ Sports, Denver and the Indianapolis Colts have had “extensive trade discussions” regarding the 2020 first-round pick.

The report states that no deal for Jeudy appears imminent. However, Adams added that the Broncos and Colts have “progressed beyond exploratory conversations.”

Steve Smith Sr., an NFL Network pundit and former player, and Jeudy have a running feud. Regarding the public altercation, the Broncos wideout recently offered his side of the story.

This season, Jeudy hasn’t had a great year thus far. In five games played in 2023, the 6’1″ receiver has only 222 receiving yards and zero touchdowns. In 2022, Jeudy led the Broncos in receiving touchdowns (6) and receiving yards (972).

In the meantime, the Colts might be considering the future in light of the heartbreaking news regarding rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. Richardson might make Jeudy a top goal for the upcoming campaign.

At season’s end, Jeudy will be available as a free agent. If the Colts can reach an agreement with the Broncos, they will have to work out a new contract with Jeudy in order to keep him around for the long run.
