SONS SECURE LOAN DEAL

The 20-year-old has joined the Sons until the end of the season from the Ibrox side.

Hogarth spent last season on loan in League One with Alloa Athletic where he recorded 14 clean sheets in all competitions.

He immediately goes into the squad for tonight’s League Two fixture with Peterhead.

Dumbarton were beaten 2-1 by East Fife at the Dumbarton Football Stadium this afternoon.

Kieran Millar fired the visitors ahead before the break as Sons struggled to get going in the first-half.

A positive start to the second-half, however, resulted in Michael Ruth getting the final touch to bring the home side level midway through the half.

Dumbarton were only level for a few minutes before Brogan Walls regained the Fifers lead and despite Sons putting on the pressure in the final stages, there was no equaliser.

Stevie Farrell’s side quickly return to action with a visit to Peterhead on Tuesday.
