The Green Bay Packers snuck out of Lambeau Field with a huge win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.  A 23-20 win gave the Packers some much needed confidence moving forward.

One of the biggest storylines during the game was the brutal injury that Aaron Jones suffered in the first half.  Many presumed that his season could be over after watching his reaction on the sideline.  After the game, Matt LaFleur gave a massive update regarding Jones’ future

Aaron Jones went down with a knee injury that looked fairly significant in the second half:

After the game, LaFleur had some unexpected good news regarding Jones:

“I don’t think it’s long-term,” coach Matt LaFleur said post-game.

While the injury appeared to be serious on the field as Jones’ leg twisted awkwardly when he went down – LaFleur said his veteran running back was in “good spirits” after the win on Sunday.

Jones was ruled out of the game after halftime due to what the Packers reported as a knee injury. Jone recorded one catch for three yards and four carries for 14 yards before the injury.

Following the injury, Jones appeared to be in major pain while being treated on the field. There was a fear that his injury would end his season as he was carted back to the locker room.  The news that the injury wasn’t expected to be long term is not only huge for this season, but also possibly for the future of Aaron Jones’ career in Green Bay.
