Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to capture long-term target Ansu Fati on a loan basis were unsuccessful because he is apparently moving to Brighton instead.

According to reports, Tottenham is now refocusing on Crystal Palace player Eberechi Eze as a potential addition to their roster.

According to a report in the Independent, the 25-year-old is a player that Spurs are contemplating signing.

Eze, though, is reportedly requesting for greater over £60 million since Crystal Palace places a high value on him.

Given that it is even more than Nottingham Forest’s asking price for Brennan Johnson, another player who has been linked to Tottenham, this evaluation poses a challenge for Spurs.

Eze, who has established himself in the Premier League over the past few years, is currently Crystal Palace’s finest player.

Last season, the 25-year-old had 10 goals and four assists in all competitions. And in 231 senior appearances over the course of his career, he has collected 40 goals and 26 assists.

He is a flexible player who can perform as a No. 10 and either wing. It is well known that Ange favours players that are adaptable and can play a variety of positions.

He may have an immediate impact at Tottenham if they decide to sign him by adding speed, flair, and goals to the team.

TBH Declares:

Although we are being connected to players left and right, as the deadline day draws nearer, things are starting to look alarming.

The rest of the season may suffer if Spurs are unable to find a quality striker. A deal for a striker has not yet been reached.
