It is set to be yet another bumper weekend on and off the course in the world of professional golf, with eyeballs split across the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Invitational and LIV Hong Kong.

Amid the Signature Event at Bay Hill, the talk of the PGA Tour was dominated by a man not in attendance at the event, in Tiger Woods. The Tour’s best players head to TPC Sawgrass next week, but one man who will not be there is Woods, after he was left out off the entry list on Friday.

Over on the breakaway circuit, Jon Rahm is aiming to win his first individual LIV Golf title and finds himself in a tie for fourth in Hong Kong, following a six-under-par 64 in Saturday’s second round.

It just is not happening for Rory McIlroy at Bay Hill this week…

The Northern Irishman has moved to one-over-par for the tournament, after back-to-back bogeys at seventh and eighth during his third round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Following this week’s event, McIlroy will have just two more outings at next week’s Players Championship, and next month’s Valero Texas Open before heading down Magnolia Lane in hunt of his first Masters title.
