Damian Lillard will miss his third game for the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. The seven-time All-Star has been ruled out due to personal reasons, which has become a bit of a mystery considering how the Bucks have not provided any details on what exactly Lillard is dealing with right now.

Dame’s personal issue does not come at an ideal time for the Bucks considering how they are set to take on the Boston Celtics in their next game.

Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin spoke to the press ahead of Monday’s game against the Jazz to discuss Lillard’s status moving forward. Milwaukee supporters will be glad to know that according to Coach Griff, Dame should be back in the mix in time for Thursday’s bout against Boston: “Adrian Griffin says he’s expecting Damian Lillard to be out just for tonight,” reported Bucks insider Gabe Stoltz of Brew Hoops.

This is a massive development for the Bucks, who will need to be at full strength when they battle the mighty Celtics on Thursday night. Heading into Monday’s contest against Utah, the Bucks remain 3.5 games behind Boston for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

It goes without saying that a win for Milwaukee will go a long way in terms of tipping the scale in their favor atop the East.
