LAS VEGAS — 49ers future Hall of Fame left tackle Trent Williams bestowed the highest praise on Myles Garrett on the eve of him likely winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Thursday night at the NFL Honors show.

“Best player I’ve ever played against,” Williams, a 14-year NFL veteran said when asked about Garrett by cleveland.com on Wednesday. “He’s a juggernaut. Obviously he deserves it. I’ve got a lot of respect for him and I can’t wait to see him accomplish it.”

The free agent market may not be kind to Joe Flacco this offseason, and that could end up being a score for the Cleveland Browns.

Flacco, 39, will test the free agent waters this offseason, hoping to earn a shot at a starting gig somewhere. However, Terry Pluto of cleveland.com spoke with an anonymous general manager who doesn’t believe Flacco will have teams busting down his door.

The major issue? Flacco’s turnovers, per Pluto.

He thought the market for Flacco will be limited,” Pluto said February 6 on his podcast, “Terry’s Talkin.’” “Even though the numbers are eye-popping, in modern football, turnovers are the scarlet letter on you. They do not like guys who turn the ball over. I was glad to hear that because I assumed we’d have no shot at Flacco. He thinks they will.”
