As expected, it has been a rough season for the lowly Arizona Cardinals in 2023, with the team winning only one game thus far heading into Week 8 against the red-hot Baltimore Ravens.

With star quarterback Kyler Murray unable to start the season due to recovering from knee surgery to repair a torn ACL, the Cardinals were not expected to be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Even though the Cardinals have played better than expected at times during the 2023 campaign thus far, the team still only has one win to show for their efforts, as they were shockingly able to get the best of the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3.

Fortunately for Arizona, there may be some light at the end of the tunnel, with Murray officially off the team’s injury report and being a full participant in practice.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Murray’s progress doesn’t mean he’ll be under center this week against the Ravens.

With the Cardinals likely in no rush to get Murray back under center because this season is more or less a lost cause, Joshua Dobbs may continue to get the starts for Arizona until they feel their star quarterback is ready to get back on the field.

Unfortunately, the Cardinals are now at a point where the team benefits more from losses than wins, which might also be why Murray doesn’t get back on the field right away.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Cardinals brass handle bringing Murray back into the fold and when he might get back under center.
