After a stellar rookie season Brock Badgers goaltender Connor Ungar signed a two-year Entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers that starts in the 2024-25 season. PuckPedia.com reports that his contract in each year includes a salary in the NHL of $775,000, a signing bonus of $85,000, and a minor-league salary of $82,500. The $775,000 is the league minimum salary, while $82,500 is the maximum minor-league salary for a player on an Entry-level deal.

This is the second time in the last five years a Brock Badgers goaltender has inked an Entry-level contract with a NHL team. Back in the 2018-2019 season, now Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Logan Thompson signed a two-year Entry-level contract with the team following an impressive season with the Badgers. Thompson had similar numbers as Ungar, going 18-6 with a 2.22 GAA and .934 SV% and won a Stanley Cup with Vegas in 2023. RNH hooked Jonathan Drouin on a breakaway, Drouin was awarded a penalty shot in the 2nd period at 4:13. Vincent Desharnais and Josh Manson were both given five minute majors each for fighting in the 2nd period at 19:25.
