Our colleagues at Foot Mercato report that Rennes and AS Monaco have been forced to drop charges against 27-year-old Colombian centre-back Davinson Sanchez due to inflexible demands made by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. Levy is demanding €15m to allow Sanchez to leave North London this summer, with the player having just 12 months left on his current contract.

Rennes’ latest offer is 9 million euros, which is the highest amount they plan to offer.

Rennes’ failure to score for Sanchez means Belgium defender Arthur Theate will not be able to leave Brittany. He was hoping to join Fiorentina in Serie A. AS Monaco are also interested in Sanchez, but were also turned down by Daniel Levy’s request and are considering a deal with Fulham for England defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
