Despite opting for a walk-through instead of a full practice on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions injury report suggests that the team’s 53-man roster is generally in good health as they prepare for the divisional round against Tampa Bay.

Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta, who played in Sunday’s victory over the Rams despite a knee issue, was listed as a full participant. Head coach Dan Campbell expressed his satisfaction with LaPorta’s progress, noting that he’s doing better than he was at the same point last week. Campbell commended LaPorta for contributing to the win, acknowledging the challenge for a young player not at 100% but still determined to help the team.

Campbell emphasized that if there was a risk of aggravating LaPorta’s injury and leading to a long-term recovery, they would not have allowed him to play. In the Rams game, LaPorta made three catches for 14 yards, including a touchdown.

On the injury front, receiver Kalif Raymond (knee) and center Frank Ragnow (knee/back/toe/rest) did not participate in practice. Linebacker Alex Anzalone (shoulder) would have been limited.

However, there were positive updates with defensive back Brian Branch (knee), safety Kerby Joseph (knee), tight end Brock Wright (hip), and linebacker James Houston (ankle), all listed as full participants. Houston, still on injured reserve, has been designated to return. The Lions seem to be managing their health well as they prepare for the upcoming playoff matchup against Tampa Bay.
