Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was seen in floods of tears during the American national anthem ahead of the Super Bowl.

Country singer Chris Stapleton was the man to sing ‘Star Spangled Banner’ prior to the Philadelphia Eagles kick-off against the Kansas City Chiefs – which had many emotional in the crowd.

But none were quite as emotional as Sirianni, who is coaching in his first ever Super Bowl with the Eagles, in just his second season as a head coach.

The Eagles are in their second Super Bowl in the last five years, but the first with Siranni, who has coached an amazing season with the team – leading them to a 14-3 regular season.

It came after a poor first season in 2021, with many questioning whether Siranni had been the right man to take the team forward.

But the coach has silenced all doubters, leading the team to tonight’s Super Bowl, along with quarterback Jalen Hurts who had also been criticised through his first few seasons.

Both men are deserved of being here after their amazing season, and could become legends in the city should they win tonight.
