Carlos Sainz will have emergency surgery, therefore he will miss the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Appendicitis has been identified as the 29-year-old’s illness.

According to The Sun, he became ill after landing in Jeddah earlier this week and is currently apparently in the hospital.

In Bahrain last weekend, Sainz finished third in the season’s first race.

But Oliver Bearman will take his position in tomorrow’s Saudi Grand Prix.

Carlos Sainz Jr., a Spanish driver for Ferrari, is in the hospital.
In 2021, he won the F4 series in Germany and Italy, which marked the beginning of his ascent to the top.

The teenage star advanced to Formula 3 and, with Prema Racing, finished third last year.

During the 2023 season, the racer from Chelmsford participated in practice sessions with Haas in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.

He made an impression in Mexico, where he finished ahead of two-time world champion Fernando Alonso in practice to become the youngest-ever British Formula One driver.

His quickest lap time in a Haas in Mexico City was three tenths behind seasoned teammate Nico Hulkenberg and only 1.6 seconds behind triple world champion Max Verstappen.

Bearman, who will be driving for Ferrari for the first time since Eddie Irvine 25 years ago, will be the 165th driver from Britain to compete in Formula One.

His opportunity comes before Lewis Hamilton’s 2025 move to Ferrari, although Bearman claims that his childhood hero was fellow Brit Jenson Button.

In order to make room for Hamilton, Sainz will be released by Ferrari at the end of the current season. He has not yet secured a spot for 2025.
