Golf’s forgotten man Anthony Kim has once again revealed his swing to the world ahead of his LIV Golf debut this week – still donning a technique that even the great Tiger Woods had not seen before.

Kim has not played competitive golf since the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship, having gone into exile on the back of a string of fitness problems. Twelve years on though, the American will return to competition in Jeddah this Friday, making his debut on the LIV setup.

The 38-year-old gave fans a sneak preview of what they have been missing over the last decade, as well as what they can expect to see this week, after taking to the Saudi range on Tuesday morni

In a clip shared by Andy Carter Golf on social media, Kim was seen going through his iron shot routine in practice, showcasing his synonymous technique that caught the eye of Woods after he first burst onto the scene around 15 years ago. Speaking about Kim’s technique back in 2008, Woods said: “He’s the only player I’ve ever seen that actually plays pretty much the entire bag choked up.

“It does provide a lot of control; you don’t hit the ball as far offline. You hit the ball very straight that way. It’s amazing that a lot of amateurs don’t try and do that. They like to grip the club like in baseball, with the pinky off the club because some pros have taught them that if you grip the very end of the club, you get more whip at the bottom.
