The Chicago Bears were able to select a potential franchise quarterback in Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis, as the squad had the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft last year.

Even though the Bears’ win total increased by a few games, the franchise remained optimistic that Justin Fields would elevate his play and establish the team as a real NFC playoff contender in 2023. Unfortunately, that didn’t transpire.

The Bears made the decision to send that pick—young from the University of Alabama—to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Stroud, the real deal from the previous round, who went to the Houston Texans at No. 2 overall.

The Bears will almost definitely select USC standout quarterback Caleb Williams on April 25, which might be a move that permanently alters the franchise’s fortune at the position. This year, the Bears have the top pick once more.

The Bears have added Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, Gerald Everett, and a few offensive linemen to fix the offense this summer in addition to maybe going all-in on a quarterback at No. 1.

According to NFL on ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Chicago has had a fantastic offseason thus far, positioning Williams for success from the start.
