For the Crimson Tide, right-hander Aidan Moza got the start in the mound. Five hits, four earned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts were surrendered in his 3.2 innings of work.

From the bullpen, Tyler Fay, Alton Davis, and Matthew Heiberger appeared. The team gave up three hits, two runs, two walks, and five strikeouts in total. Heiberger was given the save, and Davis was given the victory.

For just the second time this season, the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team had to start Saturday afternoon behind.

In the second game of the Frisco Classic, the Crimson Tide was trailing the Arizona Wildcats 4-0 after the Wildcats scored four runs in the fourth inning on two two-run home runs by Mason White and Blake McDonald.

Alabama, though, didn’t go down without a fight and took the lead with five consecutive runs. Evan Sleight’s leadoff double in the fifth inning ignited the rally. Will Hodo hit a solo home run to left-center field in the top of the sixth inning to equalize the score, and Arizona third baseman Richie Morales’ mistake in the top half of the seventh inning gave the Crimson Tide the lead after the Wildcats lost in order in the bottom half of the fifth.

To take the lead, the two sides traded two-run innings. First, Arizona scored on a sacrifice fly by Brendan Summerhill and an RBI single by White in the bottom of the seventh inning. The next came from the Crimson Tide in the top of the eighth inning when Mason Swinney and Sleight scored the game-winning runs after Morales made his second throwing mistake of the day……….
