The Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in a tailspin coming down the stretch of the season, riding a three-game losing streak ahead of their Week 16 matchup against the New York Giants. Ahead of the matchup, Eagles star lineman Jason Kelce opened up about their recent losing streak, offering a critical analysis of why they haven’t been able to get it done.

The losing streak is pretty puzzling considering how much talent the Eagles have on their roster as a whole. And Kelce made that point on the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce, instead stating that some mental mistakes have led to the losses.

“My false start was crucial. It ended up being a big reason why we didn’t end up winning the game. I have nobody to blame but myself. It’s really stupid. When we were 10-1, we were just collectively operating as a more consistent, situationally aware, smart football team. This is not smart. This is stupid.”

A big part of changing the losing ways in Philadelphia is admitting what the cause of the losses truly is. And it seems like Jason Kelce is undoubtedly being very mature and open about what exactly is causing these close losses.

The positive side of things is that the Eagles still find themselves in a great position in the NFC to get into the postseason. But before that happens, they need to fix whatever issue is going on with them at the moment.

They will have their chance to do just that on Sunday against the Giants, where they enter the game as 12-point favorites on the majority of sportsbooks.
