On Wednesday [20 September], club journalist Beren Cross published video of the players getting out of the team coach before the game.

As pointed out by Cross, Rodon’s face was “badly bruised” after taking a whack to the head during the 3-0 win at Millwall three days ago.

Bravery

Rodon was able to continue despite being caught in the face at The Den and was arguably the best player on the pitch for Leeds.

The Wales international has taken no time at all to become a regular in the heart of Daniel Farke’s back four since joining on a season’s loan from Tottenham.

Rodon won a staggering nine aerial duels against ferocious opponent Millwall, demonstrating exactly how dominant he was [WhoScored].

No other player on the pitch managed more than six, just for some context.

With experience of playing in Ligue 1 and the Premier League, as well as the World Cup and European Championships at international level, Rodon is a serious leader in the Leeds ranks.

And his commitment to the cause – if further proof was needed – is clear given his availability to face Hull.

As far as loan signings go, this was quite the capture for United.
