Green Bay Packers fans heard it all offseason from Bears fans. Justin Fields was now the king of the north. Jordan Love was a bust who couldn’t play quarterback. After week 1, the tune changed drastically. However, with Love’s recent struggles, Bears fans were back to their old chatter. The debate is over at this point. With his performance on Sunday, Love now has more passing yards in a single season than Fields has had in his entire career.

Green Bay Packers Jordan Love Surpasses Justin Fields

In his first three seasons, Fields has 1,870, 2,242, and 1370 yards (so far). While his second season has been his only full season, he has not passed for a lot in a season. After his week 11 performance, Jordan Love has 2,331 passing yards with seven weeks to play. He will shatter the single-season record for Fields. Love also isn’t a scrub on the ground either. He has 182 rushing yards on the season and while this is a far cry from what Fields can do, Love can still make things happen with his legs.

Will The Packers See A New Rival QB In 2024?

The Bears are in line for another top pick and not necessarily because they themselves are bad. The Carolina Panthers gave the Bears their first-round pick in 2024 and they currently sit with the worst record in the league. This has led to fans questioning whether the team will keep Fields or try and get Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. Recent reports have indicated that the Bears have to be pretty blown away by someone to move off of Fields so there is a possibility that the Bears build around Fields.

This was the funniest stat I saw this morning. While Fields has had injuries and been on bad teams, the fact that in 11 games, Love was able to surpass his single-season passing yards record is hilarious as a Packers fan. I for one am hoping they pass on a quarterback and stick with Fields for the long term.
