According to Matt Law, Micky van de Ven might not be available for Tottenham Hotspur until January.
The 22-year-old defender picked up an injury during Spurs’ 4-1 loss against Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday night.
The north London club are yet to put a firm timescale on his return and they have delayed an initial scan. The Telegraph journalist has labeled it as a “huge blow” for Spurs, saying van de Ven is set for a lengthy spell out injured.
It has been suggested that he won’t require surgery, but it seems he will be out for this year at least after damaging his hamstring.
Van de Ven joined for a fee of £43million from Wolfsburg in the summer and he has been one of the standout performers for Tottenham this season.
